In the not-too-distant past if I was on the East or West Coast and people learned I was a Nashville native they often assumed we dressed in overalls and cowboy boots and thus must only enjoy country music. Now don’t get me wrong I love country music however Nashville’s music scene is so much more diverse than people realize. Artists from around the world come here for the songwriters and musical talent. No matter their genre many recognize great talent and songwriting that Nashville is finally getting recognized for. 

Back in February of 2009 I got to shoot to Ronnie Dunn of Brooks and Dunn and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. They are fast friends and admire each other’s talent. Even if they are known for different styles. Don’t know if they collaborate but I bet they do. Just one of the things I love about Nashville that I’ve called home most all my life.
